CAMBRIDGE – The Middlesex District Attorney’s office has confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred yesterday at approximately 5:18 p.m. in Cambridge. The preliminary investigation suggests that the stabbing likely occurred in the area of Green Street and Sidney Place. Following an altercation, the victim, a male in his 30’s, was located on Franklin Street by a jogger. He was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Cambridge Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s Office. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification.
