We are thrilled to announce that Revere will see some traffic relief along Broadway. My administration in partnership with our state officials has secured $1.7 million in state funding to upgrade all signalized intersections along Broadway. This investment is a substantial and long-overdue advance in traffic control, following the engineering report completed by reputable firm of Howard Stein Hudson in December 2016.
For decades, the traffic signalization along Broadway has remained unchanged since the lights were installed 40 years ago. This fully-synchronized, state-of-the-art Adaptive Signal Control Technology will efficiently regulate traffic flow and react to traffic demands.
Growing congestion in the region is something my administration takes seriously. We will continue to be proactive and study modern methods to address traffic concerns to improve the quality of life for all residents. Thanks to House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo’s leadership and vital support, we are excited to bring this long-overdue project to fruition.
