Emmaus raises more than $160,000!
Haverhill, Massachusetts. – (August 8, 2019) – The International Cars, Ltd. proudly sponsored Emmaus’ 31st Annual Cycle for Shelter event on July 28th. For over 20 years, Marshall Jespersen, Dealer Principal and ICL’s dealerships have sponsored the event as a part of their continued dedication to supporting the communities in which each ICL dealership resides. This year’s Cycle for Shelter raised over $160,000 in which 92 cents for every dollar goes directly back to programming!
“This year we had tremendous support and wonderful weather as we biked 100 miles for this worthy cause and the amazing people that organize the annual event,” said Marshall Jespersen. “Personally it was great to see so many riders include fellow family members and an outpouring of support from over 15 volunteers from Honda North. We are honored and proud to support this compassionate program which continues to give back to those in need”.
The Jespersen family and ICL have now combined to donate over $110,000 to Emmaus since the partnership began. Emmaus provides critical housing resources to those most in need, from emergency shelter to affordable housing; Emmaus has helped more than 30,000 men, women and children. They serve over 80,000 meals per year and 70,000 bed nights for homeless men, women and children. Over 2,500 people go through the program per year with approximately half being children 18 years old and younger.
