Cambridge, MA (November 20, 2018)—Mayor Marc C. McGovern and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale will deliver their State of the City Addresses on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the Sullivan Chamber of Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. A welcome reception will be held at 5:30 p.m.
The State of the City Address brings community, business, non-profit, and government leaders together to hear about the city’s accomplishments and discussions of the past year.
The Mayor and City Manager will talk about collaborations between the City Council and City Administration, as well as new programs and initiatives that have been initiated this year. This is City Manager DePasquale’s second State of the City Address since assuming his position in 2016. Mayor McGovern, who was elected by his Council peers to serve as Mayor on January 1, 2018, will deliver his first State of the City address.
During the ceremony, student performers from Cambridge Rindge and Latin will perform musical selections; and the Cambridge Jazz Band will provide entertainment during the reception. The State of the City of Address will be live broadcast by 22-CityView on Comcast Channel 22 and will be live streamed on CambridgeMA.GOV.
