The Arlington Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) is pleased to announce that Kelly Lynema began work on October 9, 2018, as the Department’s Senior Planner. As Senior Planner, Ms. Lynema will participate in the implementation of the Arlington Master Plan by advancing the Mill Brook Corridor Study and the Historic Survey Master Plan. She will serve as a Department liaison to Envision Arlington serving on the Standing Committee and working on updates to Town goals and assisting with the annual Town Survey. She will also conduct research and studies into a range of topics such as land use, housing, and economic development, examining alternatives and making recommendations in these topic areas.
Ms. Lynema comes to the Town of Arlington from Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation where she assisted in the implementation of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace Master Plan and developed and implemented the annual public realm program for the marketplace. Prior to that, Ms. Lynema was employed as an urban planner for two private sector firms, Utile and NBBJ. Ms. Lynema received her Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University and her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Tufts University.
