Managing Director Craig Tornberg

Will Wear Pink Throughout

the Month

To Help Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

BOSTON, MA – Boston City FC Managing Director Craig Tornberg will go pink in October.

Tornberg has accepted a nomination to wear pink throughout the month in support of the American Cancer Society’s ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ campaign to help raise awareness of breast cancer.

“I am proud to support breast cancer awareness and help the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative to promote early detection and prevention,” said Tornberg.

“While I witnessed cancer at an early age when my biological father passed away, I was especially moved when a dear friend contracted breast cancer approximately a year ago and battled through treatments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I am over the moon that she was recently given the all-clear, showing her bravery through the year.”

“Noreen Cosentino is one of the healthiest people I ever met, so when I heard that she was suffering from cancer, it just drove home the point that this disease could affect anyone. I will wear pink in October to honor her and her successful fight and hope one day our efforts will help bring an end to the suffering of so many individuals and their families.”

Supporters may donate to the Real Men Wear Pink cause at Craig’s fundraising page:

“I am encouraging people to donate whatever they can,” added Craig. “Any small amount is meaningful and one hundred percent goes to the cause.”

Real Men Wear Pink was born out of a desire for men to have a unique way to help in the fight against breast cancer. Real Men Wear Pink gives communities the opportunity to nominate local male leaders to spearhead fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives.
