On June 26, 2017 the Tewksbury Police Department arrested Antonio Becerril (cannot confirm his real name at this time), 27 of 452 Haverhill Street, Lawrence Apt. #6 for distribution of a class b substance (cocaine), subsequent offense, larceny over $250 by false pretense (possessing a Massachusetts Health Card under a false name), giving a false name at booking, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a fraudulent RMV document (Massachusetts Driver’s License obtained with a false name), identity fraud and misleading a police officer.
Detectives conducted an investigation into drug sales in the area of 53 Pike Street and observed a drug transaction while on surveillance. Becerril was stopped and arrested shortly thereafter.
Detectives were able to confirm with Puerto Rico Police that the individual that we had in custody claiming to be Becerril was not the person who he said he was based on a photo, social security number and date of birth. In fact, the true Becerril resides in Puerto Rico. Until his true identity can be confirmed, he will be referred to as Becerril.
Due to the fact that it is believed he is using a fraudulent identity and was in possession of a Massachusetts Health Card and a Massachusetts Driver’s License he is being charged with the larceny of false pretenses for the use of benefits of the Massachusetts Health Card and possession of a fraudulent registry document for possessing a Massachusetts Driver’s License.
