The City of Everett received a wonderful gift just in time for the holidays! Mayor Carlo DeMaria was thrilled to accept a 40-foot pine tree from the Stuart family.
The Stuart family donated the beautiful tree in memory of their late husband and father Donald Stuart to the City just in time for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, which will take place this Friday, December 2nd in Everett Square.
“The Stuart family have provided the City of Everett with an extremely unique gift,” said Mayor DeMaria. “The annual tree lighting ceremony has become a special tradition that has brought the residents of the city together for the holiday season. Having this tree will make this year one to remember.”
City Services employees skillfully removed the tree from Freemont Avenue and then set it up in its new home in Everett Square. The majestic tree is the perfect decoration for our City’s center this holiday season.
