The RPL Book Group, Reading Public Library’s Adult Book Discussion Group, continue their season with Bob Montgomery leading a discussion of Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff. This expansive and layered best-selling novel will be the focus on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 p.m.
Every story has two sides. Every relationship has two perspectives. And sometimes, it turns out, the key to a great marriage is not its truths but its secrets. Lauren Groff presents the story of one such marriage over the course of twenty-four years. At age twenty-two, Lotto and Mathilde are tall, glamorous, madly in love, and destined for greatness. A decade later, their marriage is still the envy of their friends, but we understand that things are even more complicated and remarkable than they have seemed.
Copies of the book are available in the hold shelf area of Borrower Services under RPL Book Group. The group meets in the Conference Room of the Library at 64 Middlesex Avenue. All are welcome and no registration is necessary. For further information go to http://www.readingpl.org or call the Library at 781-944-0840.
