Tewksbury Police Recruit Graduates from Lowell Police Academy

Tewksbury Police Department graduated one recruit officer from the 2016 Lowell Police Academy at a ceremony held at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Friday, November 4th, 2016.
Incoming Tewksbury Police Officer Joe Mendonca graduated at the 10 a.m. ceremony, after a 24-week intensive academy program hosted by the Lowell and Cambridge Police Departments.
Officer Mendonca, who has been a member of the Army National Guard since 2009, was deployed to Afghanistan with his unit in 2014. We are very proud of his service to our great nation and have extremely high hopes and expectations for him here at Tewksbury Police Department. Officer Mendonca will now begin the Department’s comprehensive twelve week Field Training Program.
