Mayor Carlo DeMaria would like to invite all residents to the Grand Re-Opening of the newly renovated Day Park on Saturday, October 15th at 1PM on the corner of Lexington and Prospect Street.
This project began in the fall of 2015 and is now a state-of-art facility that will make every resident proud. It will be a main attraction for the City and is named in memory of Herman Day who was an Everett resident that served with the 366th Infantry Regiment in World War II. Sergeant Day was killed in action on February 10, 1945. He was awarded a Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, American Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
“Together we are making our City a better place to live, work and play,” states Mayor DeMaria, “By building a strong community foundation, we will know not only what Everett was, but also everything it can be.
