Tewksbury Police Department is pleased to participate in National Community Policing Week (October 3rd-7th, 2016) by hosting a Coffee with a Cop event on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016, from 3pm-7pm in conjunction with the Town Common Farmers Market at 1009 Main Street in Tewksbury.
Members of the Department’s command staff and rank and file will be on hand to share some informal conversation and a cup of coffee/refreshments with community members. The community is encouraged to take this opportunity to bring forth any of their concerns or questions or to just take a few minutes to get to know some of the members of the Police Department. Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together–over coffee–to discuss issues and learn more about each other. It has proven to be a great way to build relationships. The key to Coffee with a Cop’s growing success is that it opens the door for interactions outside of the crisis situations that typically bring law enforcement officers and community members together.
