Mayor Carlo DeMaria is pleased to announce Suffolk Construction is kicking off it’s Trade Partnership Series to help minority and disadvantage firms learn about Suffolk’s “build smart” approach to construction management.
Mayor Carlo DeMaria stated, “I urge all eligible firms to take advantage of this great opportunity. You will be learning from the best, and Suffolk Construction has awarded hundreds of million dollars in contracts over the years to certified firms.”
Each two-hour coarse will be led by Suffolk Executives and local industry experts in such things as web-based collaboration tools, efficient document management, and how to develop relationships with unions to gain access to Suffolk’s projects.
The application deadline is Friday, August 12 at 5pm. Space will be limited and all applicants must be certified by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office, as one of the following: a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Minority Business Enterprise, Women Owned Business Enterprise or Veteran Business Enterprise. All must have been in business for at least two years.
