LIBRARY REGISTRATIONS DO EXPIRE!

Occasionally a library user trying to request or renew an item online receives the response ‘registration expired,’ and contacts the library asking what this means. Registrations expire every four years so that staff can verify a user’s address, phone number, and other information and make sure it’s up-to-date. Registrations may be renewed in person or over the phone by calling 978 929-6655 and choosing option 2.

PARKING LOT SAFETY

People are reminded to drive slowly and carefully in the parking lot adjacent to the library and the Recreation Department’s Goward playground which is enjoyed by many youngsters. Countless children use both services and at times fail to pay attention to moving vehicles and cars backing out of parking spaces.

The library is located at 486 Main St., next to Town Hall. The parking lot and entrance can be reached from Woodbury Lane. A great deal can be learned on the library’s website, http://www.actonmemoriallibrary.org; people who wish to receive e-mails reminding them of library events may sign up for the free service on the website.
