I grew up in Everett, witnessing the value of people working hard and standing up for what is right. I have been fighting for fairness for individuals and families in ensuring they have the best access to resources in having a better quality of life. My passion for helping the community and solving problems is why I am officially running for State Representative.
Two weeks ago, the old guards told me I was wasting my time. They said I wasn’t qualified. After listening to many community leaders, pastors and residents of Everett, my story resonates with them. I understand the daily struggles that people here in Everett face. The old guards are wrong. It is imperative that we strive to enhance and build strong foundations for educational excellence. It is essentially detrimental to the vast improvement of quality of life to improve economic development in Everett, reduce crime and increase public safety. We need good jobs, thriving small businesses, meaningful youth programs, affordable housing and the best transportation options. Most importantly, it is significant that we protect and honor our seniors.
There’s still more work to be done — and with your help, it can be done. With the launch of the campaign’s website, http://www.GerlyAdrien.com, I need your support by: 1. Attending my community day of talking to residents of Everett on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 11am-1pm, 2. Donating $25, $50 or $250 today, and 3. Volunteering to help me win. With your support, together, we can break barriers and build a better future. Let’s tell the old guards, I have a strong support system helping me to win on September 8, 2016.
