PEPPERELL – Chief David Scott reports that the Pepperell Police Department, with assistance from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC), arrested a suspected heroin dealer early this morning.
RYAN KIERCE, AGE 27, OF PEPPERELL, is charged with:
• Distributing a Class “A” Substance
• Possession of a Class “A” Substance
• Illegal Possession of a Firearm
• Illegal Possession of Ammunition
• Commission of a Felony while Armed
Pepperell Police executed a search warrant of KIERCE’s home early this morning. KIERCE was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Pepperell Police Department, following leads that he was selling heroin out of his home.
Chief Scott is praising the strong police work on this investigation, especially Lieutenant Todd Blain and Detective Tom Maskalenko, who both worked tirelessly on this case.
“These investigations take time and I am proud of the hard work by the officers, who have successfully reduced the supply of heroin entering our community,” Chief Scott said. “I am also thankful for the assistance from NEMLEC officers on this arrest. Any dent we can make on the enforcement side of the drug crisis is another step in the right direction toward saving lives, and ridding our community of these deadly substances.”
Lieutenant Blain, who led the investigation, reports that approximately $1,700 worth of heroin and more than $1,200 in cash was seized from KIERCE’s residence as a result of the search this morning.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
