Medical Examiner Confirms Body Found in Chelmsford is Missing Lowell Woman

CHELMSFORD — Police Chief James Spinney reports that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has confirmed that the woman’s body found in a wooded area on Nov. 9 is indeed that of a Lowell woman who was reported missing last month.
Elga Crespo was found in a thick wooded area off Technology Drive between a restaurant and the parking lot of the Environmental Protection Agency facility in Chelmsford. She was reported missing from Lowell on Oct. 25, triggering a massive search by multiple law enforcement agencies.
While there was no immediate vidence of foul play, Crespo’s death remains under investigation by police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

CHELMSFORD — Police Chief James Spinney reports that the body of a woman, believed to be in her 60s, was found in a wooded area this afternoon.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the body is likely that of a Lowell woman who was reported missing on Oct. 25.
The woman’s body was found in a thick wooded area off Technology Drive between a restaurant and the parking lot of the Environmental Protection Agency facility in Chelmsford.
A Lowell woman, 67, was reported missing on Oct. 25, triggering a massive search by multiple law enforcement agencies. Lowell Police were called to the scene today to aid in the identification. 
There were no obvious signs of foul play. The death is under investigation by police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
