On November 8, 2015, the Tewksbury Police Department responded to the Mobil Mart Gas Station located at 940 Andover Street at 9:50PM for a report that both the Mobil Mart and the Dunkin Donuts clerk had been robbed at knife point.
While on scene, Detectives were able to determine that the clerks were involved in staging the armed robbery. Alexander Griffin, 19, of 31 West 6TH Street, Apt.10, Lowell and Corey Goodwin, 20, of 112 Thornton Ave., Lowell were both arrested for larceny over $250.00 (Mobil), larceny under $250.00 (Dunkin Donuts), conspiracy and misleading police officers.
A warrant has been issued out of Lowell District Court for Christopher McBride, 23, of 33 Spring Ave., Lowell for larceny over $250.00, larceny under $250.00 and conspiracy. McBride was the person wearing the bandana in the video footage.
Due to the fact that all three of these individuals were a part of the staged robbery and there was no victim, an armed robbery did not occur. Therefore, they were charged with larceny offenses from the businesses.
If anyone knows where we can locate McBride, please contact Tewksbury Police Detectives. He has an alias of Christopher Payne.
Griffin and Goodwin were due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on November 9, 2015.
