Angel Baseball Giants Thank Malden Mayor for his Support

The undefeated 19U Angel Baseball Giants recently visited Mayor Christenson to thank him for his continued support of their league. The team beat the Boston Astros and went on to win the BASE HITZ Summer League Championship. Additionally the League’s 21U Giants were runners up in the Lou Tompkins All Star Tournament. Giants Jovan Henriquez, Nick Powers, and Jamel Vilmont were selected to compete in the AAABA National World Series in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and helped a first year BASE team reach the championship game before losing to New Orleans, Louisiana. Malden’s Matthew O’Connor was also selected to travel the BASE’s National Team and played in several tournaments across the country. Matt played an important role helping the BASE win a national title in Virginia this summer. Angel Baseball has helped eight athletes to secure scholarships this year, and the athletes continue to win!
