Ribbon Cutting at SunSetter Products
Mayor Gary Christenson attended a recent ribbon cutting of Malden business SunSetter Products. The business was established in 1989 to promote and sell retractable awnings to residential customers. In 1998, SunSetter relocated from a 10,000 square foot office and warehouse space on Green Street into a 64,000 square foot manufacturing and office space on Charles Street. It grew from 13 employees to 63 employees, expanding its manufacturing, marketing, customer care and IT departments.
SunSetter strives to increase the awareness and lifestyle benefits of outdoor living. It promotes the benefits of retractable awnings as a necessary shade product for safe backyard enjoyment. By combining quality materials, customer service before and after each sale, with an affordable pricing strategy, SunSetter became a leader in the residential awning industry with over 600,000 customers across all 50 states and Canada.
Under the leadership of co-CEOs Ido Eilam and Jonathan Hershberg, the SunSetter Management team proudly takes care of its customers, employees and the environment. SunSetter’s objective is to continue to grow the residential awning market, increase awareness of the energy savings benefit of vertical solar screens and continue to be competitive in the residential shade industry, while also providing its employees a fair, safe and enjoyable work place.
