The Fall Community Brochure is posted on our web site. You can view the programs, print out the reg. form and mail or drop it off at the recreation center, 900 Ferry Street.
If you stop by after-hours we have a drop box adjacent to the front door. Hard copies of the Fall Community Brochure are available at the Recreation Center, 900 Ferry Street, Famous Pizza, Shaw’s Supermarket, Town Hall, Denny’s Barber Shop and The Ventress Memorial Library
You may register for programs in a number of ways. You may walk in, (M, W, TH, F, 8:30 – 3:00pm) Or drop off your form in after hours in our safe secure mail slot. (adjacent to the front door)
In addition you may mail in your form with payment or sign up on-line, using a debit or credit card (Master Card or Discover, or electronic check.)
We are offering a wide variety of activities for all ages and interests.
Fall Foliage Trip
Sunday, October 20th
This all day trip has it all. Round trip motorcoach transportation with an early morning departure and evening return. An all you can eat grand brunch with views of Cranmore Mountain, a one hour train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad through the Mt. Washington Valley, time for shopping and more.
The cost of this trip is $89.00 p.p. and children are welcome with an adult.
Pre School Programs –
We offer a variety of playgroups for children under 3, under 2, and 1. If you missed out on our first session, call or email for available slots.
Snow Puppies (formally known as Mountain Munchkins (ski or snowboard program), Little Kickers Soccer, LiL Stingers Soccer and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m., Basketball Buddies, and more.
Youth and Teen Programs –
Kung Fu Cinema, Wrestling, Kid’s Night Out!, Tennis, Hula Hoop Clinic, After School Sports and Kids Fit at the elementary schools, Archery, (intro and advanced classes),
Indoor Rock Climbing, Baby Sitting Training for Kids, Hula Hoop Workshop, Fencing, Ski and Snowboard lessons, Middle School Wrestling and more.
Adult Evening Programs –
Our Men’s Basketball programs are full; however we do have some room in our Monday night Adult Badminton and Thursday night Adult Volleyball programs.
Let’s Go, a walking program exploring conservation land in Marshfield will be offered on select Saturdays in November and December.
We are in the process of adding additional community programs. As the programs are confirmed they will be announced in the newspapers and placed in our online brochure.
Extended Day Program:
Registration continues for our licensed school year after school child care program. Care is provided from the first day of school until the last full day of school. Vacation Club programs are offered as well. The program features a low staff to student ratio, crafts, outdoor play, homework assistance and much more. Students from K – grade 5 are welcome to attend. For details and reg. forms call the recreation office.
Help Wanted –
Possible Positions – The Extended Day Program may be looking for additional Site Coordinators and or Group Leaders. Job descriptions are available at the office or they may be emailed to you if you provide an email address. Applications will be accepted through October 23.
