City to Host Fun, Informative Emergency Preparedness Event for Pets and their Owners September is National Preparedness Month and Mayor Menino Wants to Ensure All Families and Pets Are Prepared

The Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management Animal Control will announce today Friday, September 20th at 4-6 p.m. at Peters Park,230 Shawmut Avenue in the South End of Boston out of it’s City Hall To Go Truck a “family and pet preparedness event.”

During this event, residents using mobile city hall services will receive a family preparedness go-bag from the city. 

City residents who are pet owners applying for a new or renewed 2013 pet license will receive a free pet preparedness go-bag full of toys, nonperishable food, emergency drinking water, medical supplies and more! Residents with pets may also show a current 2013 license to receive a bag.
